Abstract
Centrifuge testing of pier foundation behaviour requires a normally consolidated clayey soil mass that presents undrained shear strength increasing with depth, The soil material sampled on site was initially homogenized and consolidated in a container using the hydraulic gradient method. The water flow coming out of the model and the pore water pressure recorded by several sensors have been carefully monitored during the consolidation process.
Mots clés : force de masse / gradient hydraulique / argile normalement consolidée
Key words: mass force / hydraulic gradient / normally consolidated clay
