Effects of temperature on the mechanical behaviour of rocks

Les résultats présentés concernent le comportement mécanique des roches en fonction de la température en l’absence de confinement. Les roches testées sont représentatives des principaux types de structure (granités, calcaires, grès et marbre). On étudie l’influence de la température entre 200 °C et 600 °C sur les courbes complètes contrainte-déformation, sur la relaxation des contraintes et la loi de variation de la résistance ultime en fonction de la vitesse de sollicitation.
Abstract
Results about temperature mechanical behaviour of rocks without confining pressure are presented. The rocks used were representative of the principal structures (granites, limestones, sandstone and marble). We studied the direct influence of temperature, by performing experiments at temperatures ranging from 200 °C to 600 °C, on complete stress-strain cruves, on stress relaxation and on the law of ultimate strength variation with strain rate.
