Abstract
An operating method for cyclic triaxial testing is proposed to identify the dynamic properties of silty or clayey fine soils in the laboratory. The test consists in applying several successive sequences of undrained cycles in a range of axial deformations between 10−4 and 10−2. An approximation of the experimental records allows the precise identification of secant Young modulus and damping. An operating test gives an illustration of the method.
